Scissor wizard Owen Gildersleeve has been hand-crafting illustration, typography and set design out of meticulously cut-out paper since he graduated from the University of Brighton in 2011. His experimental way with paper and a craft knife has caught him the attention of a host of brands who have wanted a snippet of his immediate, happy and craft-oriented aesthetic on their product or magazine cover. Owen often collaborates with photographers, animators and stylists to help bring his ideas to life. “I like anything fun and engaging that will push and challenge my work,” says London-based Owen. “I am trying to push towards more set design and artistic work which will give me a little more creative freedom.”
