Tim Boelaars lives and works in Amsterdam, and spends his days taking everyday objects and visuals and breaking them down to their most simplistic core, creating neat, compact imagery that is ideal for branding and editorial design. An ADC Young Gun award winner, Tim became interested in illustration and design through a love for graffiti as a teenager and has been creating work ever since. “My work consists mostly of geometric shapes, lines and I tend to work best on a grid,” Tim says. “In my work I try to always find the right balance between simplicity and aesthetics.” With a diverse portfolio, Tim specialises in icon, identity, logo, and packaging design, as well as illustration and art direction.
