A self-professed “cliché of the annoying Parisian hipster,” illustrator, animator and art director Tom Goyon divides his time between riding his bike to a veggie coffeeshop where he works, and working on digital projects all day while listening to folk music. “I’m very lucky to have amazing creative friends in a city with a vibrant art community,” he says, “so when my workday is over, I can find a million ways to stay inspired.” Tom loves working on fashion lifestyle and branding projects that have a strong narrative to them, or are meaningful in some way. He’s an illustrator, first and foremost, but also works a lot with animation studios, creating character designs and concept art for films. His strengths lie in his style which sits somewhere between naivety and adulthood, reminiscent of the sublime beauty of Studio Ghibli. “I’ve always drawn digitally and I love the possibilities it offers me,” he explains. “I care about combining my love for strong colors and good stories, with colourful takes on people in everyday life. I feel like I’m always ready for a creative challenge.”
