Antti Kalevi is an artist and illustrator based in Helsinki, Finland. Antti's work is sunshine through a graphic tablet: loose, expressive, and chock-full of happy fruits, animals, humans, and cheeky shapes with eyes. As much as you could believe that Antti Kalevi’s drawings are made from scraps of fluorescent and primary colored paper, they’re all created digitally. “I like to use humor in my pictures now and then, but I also try to make beautiful images,” Antti says. “If you look at my work from far away, it’s often very simple, but close-up is full of small details.” An Aalto graduate, Antti spent time working in Reykjavik and dreamed of taking his studio on the road. For now, he’s concentrating on editorial illustration, textile design, ceramics, and other commissions and is happy with his work as long as he retains his trademark playfulness. He’d like to use his fun, analog, and digital skills to create large indoor murals and design and illustrate his own set of umbrellas. Antti's enjoyed working with world-renowned brands, including Apple, Marimekko, It's Nice That, and The New York Times.
