Shapeshifting, geometric compositions from one of Finland's most-awarded illustrators.
Helsinki native Janine Rewell creates fluid, vector illustrations infused with nature, geometric shapes and gleeful characters. Honing her craft at the highly-regarded Rhode Island School of Design, she designs her metallic, shapeshifting images and typography back in Helsinki where she was raised for an intriguing range of clients. Where her compositions fit perfectly to editorial illustration briefs for publications such as The Wall Street Journal and The Times, they also sit perfectly at home for large fashion corporations: brightening up window displays, ad campaigns, objects and wrapping paper. “My speciality is mixing and exploring different medias and constantly trying to stretch over categories,” Janine says. “I’ve developed my style to serve all different kind of clients and commissions, from art to commercial projects and I like to see my illustration taking over three dimensional shapes.”
Samsung, H&M, Arla, Bloomberg, Vogue Eyewear, Paulig, Minna Parikka, The Times, Refinery29, Computer Arts, Crate and Barrel, Finnair, Finlandia Vodka, Gola, Mykita, Hartwall, Marimekko, Nokia, Swarovski, Qatar Airways, Toyota, Wired.
The Design View, Grain Edit, Design*Sponge, The Fox Is Black, Fubiz, FormFiftyFive, Design Work Life, Creative Bloq, IdN, It’s Nice That, WGSN.
