As a teenager in Poland, illustrator Justyna Stasik avoided doing her homework in favor of doodling and making collages. She continued doing so through her early 20s until she realized she could turn it into a full-time job. Now, from her home in Montreal, Justyna spends her days creating work for the likes of Apple, The New York Times, and Adobe, among others. She loves projects revolving around lifestyle and fashion, a good commercial ad, and even tech gigs with open-minded and creative art direction are happily welcomed, too. Her work is often described as fun, expressive, and simplistic, with approachable and relatable characters, lively patterns, and bold colors. This just so happens to be Justyna’s main goal: to inject her work with humor and break down an idea into its simplest and most visually expressive form.
