Work with Sébastien Plassard

Timeless illustrations from excellent draughtsman Sébastien Plassard.
Sébastien Plassard’s work is classically-inspired illustration that tackles modern concepts using imagery and linework reminiscent of mid-century drawings and prints. His excellent and innovative use of typography throughout his work, complimented with his dynamic approach to character design and texture, come together to create a series of static images that bizarrely seem to move and shift in front of your very eyes. Working predominantly on editorial commissions for the likes of Telerama, GQ, The New York Times, and The New Yorker, Sebastien’s surreal, cinematic and expertly drawn illustrations could be applied to any number of commissions from film posters, prints, book covers, or any kind of imagery that is set to appeal to adults and children alike. In an interview with It’s Nice That, he said: “When I draw I am in quest of poetry. I look for a singular atmosphere with fantasy, with absurdity… I want the picture to talk by itself like a full language.”
