Tim Boelaars lives and works in Amsterdam, and spends his days breaking down everyday objects and visuals into their most simplistic core, creating neat and compact imagery that is ideal for branding and editorial design. “My work consists mostly of geometric shapes, lines and I tend to work best on a grid,” Tim says. “In my work I try to always find the right balance between simplicity and aesthetics.” An ADC Young Gun award winner, Tim became interested in illustration and design through a love for graffiti as a teenager and has been creating work ever since.
